Worth the climb for the views across Las Canadas and down to the Rocques de Garcia. But at 8,917 feet the air is thin and I am well out of puff.

- I'm a monkey, but I have a very special group of friends. They have taken on a challenge to take me to as many interesting places as possible over the next 12 months. I'll be going home with one of them each weekend, going on holiday with them and meeting their friends. The only condition is that we must take a photo of us having fun. What a wonderful life I will have. The challenge is to beat another team and their baboon key - distance travelled (we'll be off-setting), places visited and quality of life.
